Figure To Look Up To
We keep on searching for someone to look up to. We want someone better, stronger, braver, more than who we are. Either we project our desire on them or we aspire to become who they are. There is no in-between.
I dont even know what in-between is anymore.
I try to write a poetry. It ended up sounding like complains. A set of writing, full of ungratefullness in a foreign language. Because i am a coward, i dare not to speak of my wound in my mother tongue.
Maybe that. Or is it because i wanna look smart ?
I don’t even know what in-between is anymore.
Even The Great Tony Stark died. So, clearly, the figure we look up to is not immortal. They are flawed. So are we. Maybe they are better at hiding it. Maybe they are richer.
Maybe they’re somebody’s children. Powerful figure. And we are no more than a rat on the street.
A street where the steel grow better than the trees.
It’s been a while.
